Charlotte Vere, founder of Women On… http://womenon.org, appeared last night on an interesting BBC Radio 3 programme, Night Waves. This is the link:
The programme is some 46 minutes long. The section between 15 – 34 minutes was pre-recorded and probably of less interest to most of us. But the discussion which included Charlotte is well worth listening to in its entirety, in particular her own contributions which you can find on iPlayer at the following points:
5.00 – 6.30 minutes
10.00 – 11.00
38.00 – 39.30
41.35 – 42.40
45.00 – 45.27
It’s good to hear Charlotte state clearly that she’s an anti-feminist, and to explain her reasons in such clear terms.
I strongly recommend the programme to you all. The estimable Ms Vere and her organisation should be applauded for outlining centre-right alternatives to feminism, alternatives to the misandry and the relentless infantilisation of women which lie at the heart of the feminist project. It has to be encouraging that the feminist-packed BBC includes her in its programmes. We can only hope that the day is approaching when a number of female Conservative MPs exhibit Ms Vere’s courage and reveal themselves to be anti-feminists too.
