You might be expecting, from the title of this piece, that I’ll be suggesting more Toady award winners should strap on a pair. They should but that’s not what I’m writing about. Today I bought a packet of mixed roasted and salted nuts from the Sikh gentleman who runs an excellent store near where I live. On the packet are printed two useful pieces of information:

REMEMBER SMALL CHILDREN CAN CHOKE ON NUTS – whether this is to encourage you to hand the contents of the packet over to small children, or discourage you, is unclear.

I’m guessing the company which writes the copy for the packaging of products sold to stores by Saki Snack Enterprises – for the product is one of theirs – has a gender diversity policy with respect to its copywriters, and Saki unluckily got one of the feminist copywriters to work on its account. What are the chances that feminists would be involved in a blog piece about nuts?

About Mike Buchanan

I'm a men's human rights advocate, writer, and publisher. My primary focus is leading the political party I launched in 2013, Justice for Men & Boys (and the women who love them). I still work actively on two campaigns I launched in early 2012, Campaign for Merit in Business and the Anti-Feminism League. In 2014 I launched The Alternative Sexism Project, aiming to raise public understanding that the sexism faced by men and boys has far more grievous consequences than the sexism faced by women and girls.
