Australia: the celebrations are over, the hangovers have begun

In the past few days we posted stories about Australia. First we reported the good news that the misandrous PM Julia Gillard had gone, but now we learn that Kevin Rudd has appointed even more women to his cabinet:

A priceless line in the report:

Rudd said the appointments were made purely on merit, not gender, and pledged to boost the economy.

Hmm. So Kevin Rudd has already managed to find more women of ‘merit’ than even Julia Gillard managed to track down. Oh, OK.

We also reported on a story about the New South Wales government seemingly starting to pay attention to male victims of domestic violence. ‘One in Three Campaign’ has since published the following sobering update:

About Mike Buchanan

I'm a men's human rights advocate, writer, and publisher. My primary focus is leading the political party I launched in 2013, Justice for Men & Boys (and the women who love them). I still work actively on two campaigns I launched in early 2012, Campaign for Merit in Business and the Anti-Feminism League. In 2014 I launched The Alternative Sexism Project, aiming to raise public understanding that the sexism faced by men and boys has far more grievous consequences than the sexism faced by women and girls.
